Our Founding Chapter
The University of Windsor’s Alpha Chapter, founded in 2005, is the original chapter of Delta Alpha Theta and the foundation of our sisterhood. Over nearly two decades, the Alpha Chapter has grown into a vibrant community with dedicated active members and a thriving alumnae network numbering in the hundreds. Its legacy of leadership, connection, and community impact continues to inspire every chapter that has followed.

Why You Should Join
Sisterhood
One of the best parts of Delta Alpha Theta is our sisterhood! Being a DAT sister means always having a support system and lifelong friendships. Throughout the year, we enjoy sisterhood events like craft nights, dinner dates, potlucks, retreats, and more. We love making memories together because our sisterhood is at the heart of everything we do. DAT love!
Academics
Academics are one of Delta Alpha Theta's core pillars. We use study logs to track our study hours, celebrate reaching our goals with prizes, and encourage one another to succeed. As a DAT sister, you'll always have someone to study with and a strong support system throughout your academic journey.
Philanthropy
Giving back is a big part of what it means to be a Delta Alpha Theta sister. When you join DAT, you also become a member of our Optimist International club, DAT Optimist, where community involvement and service are at the heart of what we do. Throughout the year, we volunteer on campus and in the local community, making a positive impact while strengthening our bonds as sisters. Service isn't just something we do. It's a core part of who we are.
Connections
Joining Delta Alpha Theta is a great way to connect with like-minded women who share your passions, values, and interests. You'll also have the opportunity to build friendships throughout the Greek community, including with our brotherhood fraternity, Sigma Chi, which helped found Delta Alpha Theta, and our fellow sorority, Delta Zeta. The connections you make as a DAT sister can last a lifetime!
